Capcom's Pragmata Wins GOTY at Thailand Game Awards 2026, Wuthering Waves Takes Three
Capcom's new IP Pragmata grabbed Game of the Year and Best Action Game at the Thailand Game Awards 2026, while Wuthering Waves and other Chinese titles walked away with multiple wins.
Capcom just walked away with the big one. At the 2026 Thailand Game Awards, held alongside gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026, the company's brand-new IP Pragmata took home Game of the Year and Best Action Game — two of the night's biggest prizes.
But Capcom wasn't the only winner celebrating. Chinese games showed up in force, and Kuro Games' Wuthering Waves had a seriously good night. The open-world RPG snagged Best Live Service Game and the Players' Choice Award, with the latter decided by on-site fan votes — a pretty clear sign of just how much love the game has built up in Thailand.
That wasn't all for Kuro, either. The studio behind Wuthering Waves also picked up Best Game Publisher, bringing its total haul to three awards. Not a bad evening's work, especially when you consider the Players' Choice win came straight from the crowd.
Elsewhere, another Chinese title made its mark: Arknights: Endfield walked away with Best Free-to-Play Game. It's a nice bit of recognition for the upcoming RPG as it continues to build buzz ahead of launch.
And the indie scene delivered a win too. MyACG Studio, a Chinese team, took home Best Showcase for its roguelike action game Ashen Kingdom — proof that smaller studios from the region are making noise across all sorts of genres, not just the big-budget ones.
So what's the takeaway? Capcom's fresh IP is already collecting trophies, and Chinese developers are clearly a major force at this year's show. Whether you're into live-service RPGs, free-to-play adventures, or scrappy indie roguelikes, there was something to cheer for.
What do you make of Pragmata taking GOTY before it's even out? And are you surprised to see Wuthering Waves clean up like this? Drop your thoughts in the comments — we'd love to hear them.
