Rockstar Reportedly Tells GTA 6 Voice Cast: Stay Quiet Until November 19

Rockstar Games has reportedly reminded GTA 6's voice cast to keep their involvement under wraps until November 19, following Stephen Root's recent slip-up.
Did you just accidentally reveal you're in GTA 6? If so, Rockstar Games might be sliding into your DMs. According to a new report, the studio has reminded its voice cast to remember their NDAs and stay hush-hush about their involvement in the upcoming open-world epic.
The reminder comes via the GTAVIoclock podcast (as reported by Insider Gaming), which claims Rockstar recently contacted its voice actors with a clear message: "We would like to remind everyone to please remember your NDA. The date you may announce your involvement is still November 19th." That's right – if you're voicing someone in Leonida, you've apparently got a calendar date circled.
Why the sudden crackdown? Well, actor Stephen Root (Barry, King of the Hill, Get Out) recently confirmed he's playing a character in GTA 6. He didn't say who, but eagle-eyed fans think they spotted his voice in one of the game's first trailers, when drug-pusher Brain Heder started talking. That's a pretty big slip for a project this secretive.
Rockstar has been slowly peeling back the curtain on GTA 6 in other ways. They recently unveiled the soundtrack, featuring 34 original songs from real-world artists, and a $400 Collector's Edition that – surprise – doesn't actually include the game. But when it comes to the cast? Mum's the word. The studio is clearly saving those famous surprises for November 19.
And it's not like Rockstar is new to star power. The Grand Theft Auto series has featured everyone from Samuel L. Jackson to Ray Liotta over the years. So it makes sense they'd want to keep a few celebrity reveals under wraps until the big day. After all, half the fun is the speculation.
For now, we'll just have to wait and see who else is hiding in the recording booth. Will you be picking up GTA 6 when it launches? And who do you think is voicing Lucia and Jason? Let us know in the comments!
