Real Infinity Gauntlet with Genuine Gems Heads to Auction
A one-of-a-kind Infinity Gauntlet replica set with real gemstones—once priced at $25 million—will hit the auction block in Abu Dhabi on December 8.
Ever dreamed of holding the power of the universe in your hand? Well, someone with very deep pockets soon can. A real-life Infinity Gauntlet replica built with genuine gemstones is going up for auction on December 8 at the "Pop Culture Legend Night Sale" in Abu Dhabi, hosted by Julien's Auctions.
The gauntlet's shell was crafted by high-end collectible toy company Gentle Giant Ltd, while the six stones were handled by East Continental Gems and set with real gems in matching colors. The lineup includes a nearly 23-carat Colombian emerald, a nearly 30-carat Madagascar sapphire, a Mozambican natural ruby over 15 carats, a spessartine garnet over 35 carats, and a cushion-cut yellow diamond of nearly 35 carats—each standing in for the Time, Space, Power, Reality and other Infinity Stones.
The piece first appeared at San Diego Comic-Con in 2022, where it carried a price tag of $25 million (about 180 million yuan). This time around there's no public estimate—the final number will only be revealed when the hammer falls. Julien's requires bidders to register in advance and pass a qualification review before they can raise a paddle.
The Infinity Gauntlet comes from Marvel Comics and became iconic through Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, where it was wielded by the villain Thanos. This particular version is one of a kind worldwide, and this marks its first-ever appearance on the auction market.
So, if you had the cash, would you snap this up—or would you rather spend it on, say, an actual island? Let us know in the comments!
