Harada's VS Studio Party Draws Gaming Legends Until 2AM

Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada hosted a star-studded industry bash at his new VS Studio, with guests like Kazutaka Kodaka and Hideki Kamiya — and a bigger party is planned for year-end.
Picture this: a room full of legendary game creators, hanging out until 2 in the morning. That's exactly what went down at VS Studio, according to a post from Katsuhiro Harada himself.
On October 16, Harada shared a group photo on X, writing that friends from across the game industry gathered at VS Studio and partied from 7 PM all the way to 2 AM. Everyone had a blast, he said — and he teased that an even bigger gathering is coming at the end of the year with more people joining in.
The photo shows over twenty people packed together, and the guest list is basically a hall of fame. Kazutaka Kodaka (Danganronpa), Hideki Kamiya (Devil May Cry, Bayonetta), and Masahiro Sakurai (Super Smash Bros.) were among the well-known producers who accepted the invite. There's also a celebratory "御祝" flower stand from Clovers, the company Kamiya founded, with his name visible on it.
So what exactly is VS Studio? It's the company Harada founded after leaving Bandai Namco. Harada is the producer behind the Tekken series and spent over 31 years at Bandai Namco before officially departing at the end of 2025. VS Studio was established in Tokyo's Shinagawa Ward on May 1, 2026, with Harada serving as president. The company was backed and supported by SNK, which plans to make it a consolidated subsidiary.
As a legendary producer in the fighting game world, Harada's party has fans buzzing with curiosity about what VS Studio is cooking up next. If his words are anything to go by, the year-end bash will be even bigger, with more industry folks joining the fun.
What do you think VS Studio's first project will be? Drop your guesses in the comments!
