Elden Ring Sales Hit 36.4 Million, Nightreign at 7.8 Million

New estimates from Alinea Analytics put Elden Ring at 36.4 million copies and $2 billion in revenue, with spin-off Elden Ring Nightreign at 7.8 million copies.
Elden Ring just keeps on winning, Tarnished. Fresh estimates from Alinea Analytics analyst Rhys Elliott suggest FromSoftware's open-world epic has now sold a staggering 36.4 million copies across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, pulling in around $2 billion in revenue along the way.
Those numbers get even more impressive when you look at how people are actually playing. According to the estimates, roughly 9.8 million players have sunk more than 100 hours into the game, and close to 3.5 million have gone all the way and unlocked every achievement or trophy. If you're one of them, take a bow.
What's really wild is that Elden Ring shows no sign of slowing down. Despite launching years ago, the game reportedly moved another 2 million copies this year alone, generating close to $110 million. That's a commercial performance that beats plenty of this year's big new releases, which says a lot about the game's staying power.
The spin-off is no slouch either. Elden Ring Nightreign has reportedly sold 7.8 million copies and brought in $282 million in revenue. Not bad at all for a standalone offshoot of an already massive franchise.
For context, Elden Ring is an action RPG set in a proper dark fantasy world, tasking you with exploring vast landscapes and underground dungeons, taking on brutal challenges, and savoring that sweet sense of accomplishment when you finally overcome them. Clearly, a whole lot of you have been doing exactly that.
It's worth noting these are estimates from an analytics firm rather than official numbers from the publisher, so treat them as a very solid picture rather than gospel. Still, the trend line is hard to argue with: the Lands Between remain very, very popular.
So, where do you fall in all this? Are you one of the 9.8 million who've clocked 100-plus hours, or did you bounce off the first boss? Drop your playtime and your favorite build in the comments - we'd love to hear it.
